Design Guidance

Sandover Associates are well versed in current design and planning policy. At a district level we have assisted many local authorities develop parts of their Local Plans. At a local level we have assisted in the production of Neighbourhood Plans, Parish Plans and design guidance.

Peter Sandover is a member of the Design West Design Review  Panel promoting and championing design quality in the South West , he  regularly chairs the  Cornwall  Design Review Panel.He is a former Design Council Built Environment Expert.

Sandover Associates were co-authors of a Design Statement for Cornwall (Cornwall Council), a design guide for Devonport (Plymouth CC) and a tall buildings strategy for St. Helier, Jersey. Peter Sandover was responsible for the architectural design management  of the Eden Project Phase 4 (the Core). Locality appointed Peter Sandover as a Neighbourhood Planning  Champion, in this role he assisted in the production of a new design guide that promotes design quality in all plans.
